Jazz pianist of 'Candy and the Sweet Tooths', Suzi Q

Sue Crosman (AKA Suzi Q)

Sue Crosman's first musical instrument was the flute, but then she fell in love with the piano after listening to jazz greats such as Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson. She has studied privately with the piano masters Don Haas and Dick Hindman, and holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Music from the College of San Mateo.

Sue is a full time working jazz pianist, as well as a private piano teacher. She appears regularly at hotels all over the Bay Area including the Mark Hopkins, Fairmont and Mandarin Oriental.

She has worked with popular local groups such as Wally's Swing World, Jazz by Design, Listen Here, and the 10th Avenue Band. Sue has toured with bands in China, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, England, and Japan.

Television appearances include “Good Morning Bay Area” (Channel 7), and the jazz TV station “Jazz Alive” uintet.

Along with private teaching, Sue has given clinics at Stanford University and, Santa Clara University. She volunteers her musical talents at On Lok Senior Health in San Francisco.

Her recordings includes CD's with Christine Marie, Wally's Swing World, Jazz by Design, the 10th Avenue Band and Listen Here Jazz Ensemble.
